The redstart family is one of the
treasures of Eurasia, and of these one of the most striking is the
Moussier's Redstart (female inset) of
northwest Africa. An inhabitant of semi-desert scrub throughout Morocco,
northern Algeria and Tunisia, this handsome chat is largely sedentary - although
March records from Malta and Great Britain suggest some seasonal movement
occurs. |
