Although quite widespread in
Sub-Saharan Africa, the Marsh Owl's only
presence in the Western Palearctic is in the coastal wetlands of Morocco. It is
mostly crepuscular, spending the day in dense tree cover or tucked up next to a
bush - as with this individual at Merdja Zerga. |
